Also luke becoming a darth user in obiwans vision that ties in good with his quote from empire strikes back when he said "luke i don't want lose you to the Emperor the way i have lost vader." This is better written. The final result is not. Id love go have seen this if it made.

After the sequel trilogy this would have been a breath of fresh air! It’s a shame we didn’t get this! Disney’s reign over LucasFilm has been a total disaster!

This would've potentially been better than what we ended up getting, but i'm not too upset about it. Had the Solo movie been profitable, and had they kept making movies set between episodes 3 and 4, it would've gotten old pretty quickly. That period in the timeline is already way too crammed as it is. Although one could argue that the same thing happened anyway with the TV shows, they just shifted everything to 5 years after ep. 6, so... i dunno.
